Summer School Welfare Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Summer School Welfare Manager to join our team at International House London in Oxford. As a key member of our summer team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our students throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor student welfare, including illness, homesickness, and absence from lessons or activities
  • Manage a team of House Supervisors and staff assigned to welfare and pastoral duties
  • Communicate effectively with international teenagers and adults, demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Work closely with the Centre Management Team, Director of Studies, and Activity Managers to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for our students
Requirements:
  • Ability to be firm and fair in decision-making
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work weekends and unsocial hours
