We are seeking a dedicated SEN teaching assistant to join our team in a primary school located in Northfield/Longbridge, Birmingham. This opportunity involves working with Key Stage 1 children who have Autism, ADHD, and Speech and Language difficulties.

The successful candidate will support the teacher in providing an excellent education to children with special educational needs (SEN) and behaviour issues. The school has a strong commitment to improving standards across all areas and is looking for staff who are prepared to push themselves to achieve high-quality teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the teacher to develop, implement, and evaluate lesson plans in accordance with the national curriculum.
  • Work one-to-one or in small groups with children, offering tailored support and encouragement to meet their unique needs.
  • Utilize specialist techniques and resources to support children with autism, including visual aids, social stories, and sensory activities.
  • Contribute to enhancing children's communication, social, emotional, and behavioural skills.
  • Engage in collaborative work with parents, carers, and other professionals.

The salary for this role is approximately £30,000 per annum.
