Nursery Assistant

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Supply Nursery Assistant to join our team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Supply Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.
Main Responsibilities
- To adhere to OFSTED Standards and Regulations, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children.
- To ensure compliance with child protection procedures, maintaining confidentiality and upholding the trust's policies and procedures.
- To maintain the health and safety of children in our care, conducting risk assessments as required.
- To take the lead in challenging and providing quality care and education, promoting the development of children.
Requirements
- NNEB /BTEC/NVQ 3 in Early Years Care and Education or equivalent.
- 12 hour paediatric first aid course (desirable).
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage, demonstrable communication and interpersonal skills, and knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities and processes.
- Experience of working with the Early Years Foundation Stage (desirable).
- Work placement experience within a childcare setting.
