Job Overview

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Nursery Assistant. This role is based at Playdays Day Nursery, located on site at The James Cook University Hospital.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. This will include:

  • Ensuring the health and well-being of children in our care
  • Monitoring and recording children's development
  • Contributing to the monitoring and recording of children's development and sharing information with other professionals
  • Adhering to OFSTED Standards and Regulations
  • Maintaining the health and safety of children in our care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • NNEB /BTEC/NVQ 3 in Early Years Care and Education or equivalent
  • GCSE English grade C or equivalent in English
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities and processes
