Job Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a SEN Teaching Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students aged 11-19 with SEMH/ASC needs in a specialist provision based in Kidderminster.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with their learning and overall wellbeing to ensure they have the best chance to reach their full potential in a safe and caring environment.
  • Establish a warm, caring, and supportive relationship with pupils to help them feel safe and confident during their time at the school.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to provide high-quality, challenging, and differentiated educational activities and experiences through supporting the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum.
  • Be flexible and willing to lend a hand whenever required.

Requirements:
  • Working towards a Level 2 award in Support work in schools or an equivalent qualification.
  • GCSE Maths and English Level 2/C or above qualification.
  • Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
  • Knowledge or experience of supporting pupils with SEN or SEMH/ASD.
  • Commitment to the role, a desire to put the child first, and treat them as an individual.
