Job Title: Senior Financial Controller

As a Senior Financial Controller at Jellyfish, you will play a critical role in managing the region's and organisation's financial functions. Reporting to our Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for supporting the financial control and accounting function, including the production of management and financial accounts, records, and associated controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and validate month-end closing sign-off and provide results and variance analysis for assigned legal entities/regions.
  • Validate payroll costs, net revenue, P&L, balance sheet, and working capital for all entities/regions.
  • Ensure that all month-end deliverables are met in accordance with the reporting timetable.
  • Support improvement efforts and standardize reporting processes within legal entities/regions.
  • Report on balance sheet, working capital variance, and provide detailed review and analysis of accruals, deferred income, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Support finance transformation initiatives to deliver process standardization and systemization of revenue recognition, billing, reporting, and month-end close process.
  • Support continuous improvements and simplification to processes and internal controls.
  • Validate monthly/quarterly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts and ensure proper documentation and follow-up of all accounts based on risk-based procedures.
  • Review and challenge most important accounting journal entries with AP, AR, GL, FM, and Revenue Operations.
  • Support the production of all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all AP, AR, GL, FM, including month-end tasks.
  • Support AP, AR, GL, and FM colleagues with improving weekly/monthly cash forecasting processes and review/validate/approve the production of accurate forecasts for all entities/regions.
  • Help align global trial balances to ensure all GL account/cost centre codes are used for the same nature of activities.
  • Lead overseas audits within your regional scope.
Qualifications:
  • Qualified accountant (AAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalents).
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting, management principles, and R2R procedures.
  • Proficiency with computers, especially business solutions and ERP systems.
  • Strong planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment, while exhibiting exceptional attention to detail and continuously driving process improvements.
  • Experience developing and maintaining internal and external relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate accounting results to both accounting and non-accounting customers at all levels of the organization.
  • Commitment to ethical behavior with a willingness to follow all company policies and current financial legislation.
