About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Family Lawyer to join our national family team at Slater + Gordon. As a Family Lawyer, you will play a key role in managing your own caseload, assisting other Solicitors in the team, and providing exceptional client care while maintaining adherence to our national standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage your own caseload, including divorce, matrimonial finances, private children work, and cohabitation disputes
  • Assist other Solicitors in the team with their caseloads
  • Provide high-level client care and maintain adherence to our national standards
  • Develop and implement effective case strategies to achieve successful outcomes for clients
  • Collaborate with other teams, including Trainees, Paralegals, and support staff, to ensure seamless case management
  • Hold and attend new client meetings, providing realistic advice and setting expectations
  • Handle negotiations and ensure timely and accurate completion of work
  • Manage time recording and billing to achieve personal chargeable hours, billing, and cash collection targets
  • Engage in business development opportunities, including attendance at networking events and marketing initiatives, to raise the profile of the Family Team
