About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Structural Engineer to join our team in Manchester, UK. As a senior member of our structural engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of high-quality structural input to major projects and programmes across our extensive portfolio of water frameworks.

As a Principal Structural Engineer, you will have a broad range of structural and civil engineering experience, with a strong background in design, analysis, and inspection of concrete, steel, and masonry structures. You will also have experience working with structural engineering software such as Tedds Staad.
PRO, Robot Structures or similar FEM analysis software, and have experience working within a 3D design environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of high-quality structural input to major projects and programmes
  • Design and analyze complex structural systems, including concrete, steel, and masonry structures
  • Conduct site inspections and produce concise reports that define requirements for asset maintenance and modifications
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to more junior team members
  • Develop and maintain our structural knowledge and capability
About You

We are looking for someone with a strong background in structural engineering, who is able to work collaboratively with other disciplines and has a good understanding of civil and geotechnical engineering. You will also have experience of working within a 3D design environment and have a good knowledge of structural engineering software.

In addition to your technical skills, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders. You will also have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
