About the Opportunity
Quay Personnel Careers is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join their team in the Liverpool area. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for the overhaul and repair of mechanical pumps.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience of working with a range of pump types. You should also be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
We offer a competitive salary package, including a basic salary of £35,500 and opportunities for overtime and bonuses. The working hours are Monday to Thursday 8am - 4:30pm and Friday 8am - 3:30pm.
Key Responsibilities
- To oversee the overhaul and repair of mechanical pumps.
- To conduct routine maintenance and repairs on pumps using a variety of tools and equipment.
- To inspect and diagnose faults in pumps, making recommendations for repair or replacement where necessary.
Requirements
- Time served Mechanical Fitter qualification.
- Experience of working with a range of pump types.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
