Mechanical Fitter Specialist

About the Role
Quay Personnel Careers is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join their team. This is a workshop position that will include site work removing pumps from site and then back to the workshop for overhaul, refurbishment and test.
The successful candidate must be a time served Mechanical Fitter with experience of overhauling different kinds of pumps, identifying failures and replacing parts as needed, fitting mechanical seals etc.
We offer a competitive salary of £35,500 plus regular overtime and call out bonus. The working hours are Monday to Thursday 8am - 4:30pm and Friday 8am - 3:30pm.
About the Job Description
- To oversee the removal of pumps from site and transportation to the workshop for overhaul.
- To carry out routine maintenance and repairs on pumps using various tools and equipment.
- To inspect and diagnose faults in pumps, making recommendations for repair or replacement where necessary.
Key Requirements
- Time served Mechanical Fitter qualification.
- Experience of overhauling different kinds of pumps.
- Ability to identify and replace faulty parts.
- Experience in fitting mechanical seals.
