We are working on behalf of a reputable business based in the Brighton area. They are seeking a skilled bookkeeper to undertake a range of financial duties, including:

  • Sales Ledger Management: Maintaining accurate records of sales transactions and ensuring timely invoicing.
  • Purchase Ledger Management: Managing purchase orders, invoices, and payments to ensure efficient cash flow.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Regularly reconciling bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  • VAT Returns: Preparing and submitting VAT returns in accordance with HMRC regulations.
  • Petty Cash and Expenses: Managing petty cash, processing expenses, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Xero Software Expertise: Proficiently using Xero software to manage financial transactions, reports, and analytics.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in bookkeeping and be proficient in using Xero software. The role is expected to be approximately 5-8 hours per week, which can be worked over 1 or 2 days. If you are a skilled bookkeeper looking for a flexible opportunity, please apply.
