About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Engineering Manager to join our team at Randstad Construction & Property. As a Digital Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in driving the adoption of digital technologies and building information modelling (BIM) across our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to the Lead Digital Engineer during BIM Kitemark accreditation
  • Responsible for the digital collaboration platform at the regional level
  • Support Digital Engineers in their day-to-day job, providing training and guidance
  • Produce standard BIM guidance documents and templates outlining our approach, procedures, and standards
  • Provide up-to-date advice on all new digital engineering technologies and tools
  • Propose, develop, and support potential business benefits that can be derived through the utilisation of current and future digital engineering technologies
  • Support the Pre-construction team in defining the Project Digital strategy during the tender stage
  • Provide updates to the regional team on the divisional Digital Engineering procedures, processes, and plans to align with any newly adopted digital technologies and tools
  • Develop the competencies of the Design and Construction Team in the application and use of all approved BIM software
  • Develop the application and use of 4D and 5D BIM
  • Establish and control the BIM Assessment data for all primary, secondary, and specialist subcontract designers
  • Conduct quality assurance audits on third-party BIM and notify the project teams of all non-compliances
  • Provide periodic management reports on all projects utilising digital engineering technologies
  • Provide assistance and guidance to the Document Control / Information Management Team on the creation and management of project workflows and the storage of model files within the Common Data Environment
  • Validate and approve AIM at delivery stage, provide regular checks during the construction stage to ensure model maturity level
  • Provide standard Digital Engineering training modules, including demonstration-led training in the application and delivery of BIM industry standards (ISO 19650-1, ISO 19650-2, ISO 19650-3, BS 1192-4:2014, ISO 19650:5)
Requirements
  • Working knowledge and understanding of ISO 19650-1, ISO 19650-2, ISO 19650-3, BS 1192-4:2014, ISO 19650:5
  • Knowledge of IFC and other commonly used data exchange formats
  • Experience with Viewpoint for Projects
  • Proficiency in Autodesk (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks Manage)
  • Knowledge of Solibri Office
  • Experience with Synchro
  • Knowledge of BIMcollab (or similar collaboration platform)
