About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Digital Engineering Manager to join our team at Randstad Construction & Property. As a key member of our digital engineering team, you will play a crucial role in driving the adoption of Building Information Modelling (BIM) across our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support BIM Kitemark Accreditation: Collaborate with the Lead Digital Engineer to achieve BIM Kitemark accreditation, ensuring our team meets the required standards.
  • Regional Digital Collaboration Platform: Be responsible for the digital collaboration platform at the regional level, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange among team members.
  • Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to Digital Engineers, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge in BIM and digital engineering technologies.
  • BIM Guidance and Templates: Produce standard BIM guidance documents and templates, outlining our approach, procedures, and standards for BIM adoption.
  • Technology Advise and Support: Provide up-to-date advice on new digital engineering technologies and tools, proposing and developing potential business benefits that can be derived from their utilization.
  • Project Digital Strategy: Support the Pre-construction team in defining the Project Digital strategy during the tender stage, ensuring alignment with our company's digital engineering vision.
  • Regional Team Updates: Provide regular updates to the regional team on divisional Digital Engineering procedures, processes, and plans, ensuring alignment with newly adopted digital technologies and tools.
  • Design and Construction Team Development: Develop the competencies of the Design and Construction Team in the application and use of approved BIM software.
  • 4D and 5D BIM Development: Develop the application and use of 4D and 5D BIM, enhancing our team's capabilities in digital engineering.
  • BIM Assessment and Quality Assurance: Establish and control the BIM Assessment data for all primary, secondary, and specialist subcontract designers, conducting quality assurance audits on third-party BIM and notifying project teams of non-compliances.
  • Management Reports: Provide periodic management reports on all projects utilizing Digital Engineering technologies, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Document Control and Information Management: Assist and guide the Document Control / Information Management Team on the creation and management of project workflows and the storage of model files within the Common Data Environment.
  • AIM Validation and Approval: Validate and approve AIM at delivery stage, providing regular checks during the construction stage to ensure model maturity levels.
  • Digital Engineering Training: Provide standard Digital Engineering training modules, including demonstration-led training in the application and delivery of BIM industry standards (ISO19650-1, ISO19650-2, ISO19650-3, BS 1192-4:2014, ISO19650:5).
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have a working knowledge and understanding of:

  • ISO19650-1, ISO19650-2, ISO19650-3, BS 1192-4:2014, ISO19650:5
  • IFC and other commonly used data exchange formats
  • Viewpoint for Projects
  • Autodesk (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks Manage)
  • Solibri Office
  • Synchro
  • BIMcollab (or similar collaboration platform)
