About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant - Post 16, you will play a crucial role in supporting students aged 16 and above. You will assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons, provide one-on-one support to students, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your role will also involve supporting students with their coursework, helping them to develop study skills, and encouraging their academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Individual Learning Plans: Assist in the development and implementation of individualised education plans for post-16 students.
  • Provide Targeted Support: Offer one-on-one and small group support tailored to students' needs, ensuring they receive the attention and assistance required to succeed.
  • Monitor Progress: Track and assess student progress, adapting support strategies as necessary to ensure each student is progressing towards their goals.
  • Collaborate with Staff and Parents: Work closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to each student's education and well-being.
  • Create a Positive Environment: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported.
  • Engage and Motivate Students: Use a variety of methods to engage and motivate students, catering to different learning styles and preferences.
