Job Opportunity: Mental Health Support Worker

Gray Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team in Lincoln. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with a diagnosis of EUPD and Sensory Processing Disorder, who is living independently in their own home.

About the Role

We are looking for an individual with a good sense of humour, who is not too serious, and is able to provide encouragement and support to our service user. The ideal candidate will have experience in social care, ideally within mental health, and have a keen interest in supporting individuals with complex health needs and learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing 1:1 support to our service user, promoting independence and well-being
  • Implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments to ensure the service user's safety and well-being
  • Supporting the service user with daily living tasks, such as personal care and household chores
  • Encouraging the service user to engage in activities they enjoy, such as dancing and swimming
  • Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive support package

Requirements

  • Experience in social care, ideally within mental health
  • Ability to provide encouragement and support to individuals with complex health needs and learning disabilities
  • Current Right to Work in the UK and have been employed in the UK for at least 6 months
  • Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references
