About the Job

This position involves providing expert assessment and intervention services for children, young people, and families in need. As an Assessment and Intervention Professional, you will carry out professional tasks in accordance with recognised procedures, evidence-based practice, and professional ethics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of children in need, at risk of significant harm, and/or looked after, adhering to legislative and procedural requirements.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and safeguarding investigations.
  • Present evidence in court as required.
Requirements
  • A degree-level qualification in Social Work.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • A willingness to enhance qualifications for development.
  • Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSWs) expected to complete the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) certification programme within 12 months.
  • Experience working with vulnerable groups, preferably in childcare.
