Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate mental health specialist to join our dedicated team at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will have a recognized qualification in mental health, such as RMN or AHP, and a good amount of post-registration experience or demonstrated competencies through a Personal Development Plan.

Our team provides comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and interventions for people presenting to the acute hospital with a wide range of co-morbid psychiatric illnesses.

The role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary liaison team, providing mental health consultation, liaison, and advice throughout departments, delivering evidenced-based psychosocial interventions to individual patients as required.

As a member of our team, you will be expected to work across Urgent Care Mental Health First Response Services, including Crisis Resolution Home Treatment teams, Liaison Services, Street Triage Services, Liaison and Diversion Services, and the Crisis Triage and Response Service.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and interventions for people presenting to the acute hospital
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary liaison team to deliver mental health consultation, liaison, and advice
  • Develop and implement evidence-based psychosocial interventions for individual patients
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
