About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SHEQ Advisor to join our team at Equal Resourcing Ltd. As a Senior SHEQ Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting and advising on all aspects of health and safety, environmental management, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert support to the operational team to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Guide and mentor junior members of the team to develop their skills and knowledge in health and safety, environmental management, and quality assurance.
  • Work closely with the Head of the department to develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and to improve the SHEQ department's performance.
  • Conduct site inspections to identify potential hazards and risks, and implement corrective actions to mitigate them.
  • Manage audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Lead incident investigations to identify root causes and develop corrective action plans.
  • Review risk assessments to ensure they are up-to-date and effective.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions on health and safety, environmental management, and quality assurance to employees.
  • Stay up-to-date with new legislation and regulatory requirements, and ensure the company is compliant.
  • Produce reports on work, projects, and activities carried out by the SHEQ department.
Requirements
  • Must have experience within the construction or utilities sector.
  • Must have experience as a Senior SHEQ Advisor.
  • Hold a relevant degree.
  • Hold a NEBOSH Level 6 National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management or NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice.
  • Hold an environmental qualification.
  • Hold an IOSH membership (CertIOSH).
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence.
