Purpose of the job

The HR Advisor/Apprentice will provide an effective and efficient operational human resources service to Align employees.

The job is primarily involved with all aspects of human resource and workforce management within the project. The role also involves assisting with a range of Human Resource processes. The role with work with the HR, Recruitment, Training, Skills, Education and Employment and On-boarding teams to get an opportunity to learn about all disciplines within HR remit.

**Responsibilities**

The HR Advisor/Apprentice will be responsible for:

- Assist in all aspects of the employee lifecycle to ensure quality, timely and compliant production of documentation, filing, administration and HR support.
- Ensure the Align HR database and other relevant HR systems are updated regularly.
- Liaising with the JV Partners HR teams to ensure their records are kept up to date in line with Align’s records.
- Respond to employee queries in a timely manner and escalate where appropriate to the rest of the HR Team
- Ensure any changes to roles of current staff (such as promotions, address changes) are documented and recorded and passed to JV Partners where appropriate.
- Maintain records of employee absences e.g. sickness and annual leave.
- Monitor absence and advise staff accordingly.
- Ensure right to work documents have been taken and certified correctly.
- Process leavers accordingly on Align and through JV partner processes
- Assist in exit interviews and maintain a register to show their leaving status and reasoning for reporting purposes.
- Support in arranging and maintaining training records for staff on the project.
- Support the HR Co-ordinator in maintaining all data is stored correctly and GDPR complaint.
- Support where appropriate with organisation chart, staff report, payroll processing, starter and leaver trackers.
- Support the HR team with drafting of letters, communications.
- Maintain new starter process on project, ensuring IT equipment and system access is available on 1st day and staff are booked into the Welcome Induction.
- maintaining the documents and ensuring they stay up to date.
- Assist in maintaining the IT asset register on project and returning any kit that is no longer required.
- Support with getting completed probation forms completed and filed correctly.
- Attend meetings to note take, such as Employee Relations or Team meetings.
- Ad hoc support to L&D Manager and SEE Manager
- Ad hoc support within Recruitment.
- Prepare reports and management information as required.
- Share the updating and maintenance of Align’s organisation chart.
- Be first point of contact regarding staff issues and escalate them to the right HR team member.
- Attend relevant external and in-house training courses, as required
- Undertaking any tasks reasonably required as instructed by the Senior HR Team
