Business Intelligence Engineer

At ENGINEERINGUK, we're innovating at the intersection of music and culture. Our Amazon Music team is shaping the future of immersive audio entertainment, and we're looking for a talented Business Intelligence Engineer to join our analytics and insights efforts.

In this role, you'll contribute to the marketing attribution project for Amazon Music, developing the analytics roadmap and direction. You'll work closely with marketing stakeholders and other Amazon partners to deliver self-service solutions, insights, and learning white papers to advance our analytics and science offerings. You'll also collaborate with a full-stack team of business intelligence engineers, data engineers, and scientists.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Contribute to the analytics and insights efforts for the marketing attribution project for Amazon Music.
  2. Work as the internal analytics consultant for marketing teams and collaborate on long-term strategy.
  3. Define and deliver reporting and visualization that supports the analytical needs of internal business leaders.
  4. Drive self-service solutions for senior business stakeholders informing marketing investment decisions.
  5. Use analytical insights to help increase business and team effectiveness against key strategic goals.
  6. Build a thorough understanding of the streaming music industry, the subscription business model, and key internal partners across Prime, Amazon devices, media, and entertainment businesses.
  7. Partner with analytics and science teams across Amazon entertainment and subscription businesses.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
  2. Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
  3. Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab.
  4. Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling.
  5. Experience of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
  2. Experience in data mining, ETL, etc., and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.
