Job Title: Commercial Planner

Streamline Search Ltd is seeking a skilled Commercial Planner to join our team. As a Commercial Planner, you will be responsible for managing project timelines, coordinating between teams, and producing progress reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project timelines using planning software, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Coordinate between teams, including contractors, suppliers, and estimators, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Produce progress reports and revise programmes and forecasts for team members using planning programme software.
  • Break down large projects into phases of development, ensuring effective project management.
  • Use project management tools to plan timeframes, ensuring projects are completed on schedule.
  • Work with Estimators to calculate the resources needed for a project, ensuring accurate project planning.
  • Plan contingency programmes in case timeframes change, ensuring flexibility in project management.
  • Meet with contractors and suppliers to discuss and review programme issues, ensuring effective communication.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of construction, mainly with roofing and façade works, ensuring a deep understanding of project requirements.
  • Work between office-based staff and site-based staff to ensure consistency on programmes and sequence, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Critically review programmes for Extension of Time Requests, identifying delays, hold-ups, and additional works, ensuring accurate project planning.
Requirements:
  • Able to use a computer and the main software packages competently, including Microsoft Project and Asta.
  • Approximately 5 years of planning experience, ensuring a strong understanding of project management principles.
  • Knowledge of building construction and sequence, ensuring a deep understanding of project requirements.
  • UK driving licence, ensuring flexibility in project management.
