Job Title: Procurement Strategist

Location: Essex, UK

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £72,000 - £78,000 per annum (c£70k-£75k + benefits package)

Operating across multiple sectors including Commercial, Mixed-Use, Residential and Education, we are recruiting for an experienced and effective Procurement Strategist to complement our Essex team.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing a work winning team, handling a variety of tenders, working hands on writing bids and leading a team of up to 5 Pre-Construction colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage a work winning team to secure new business and expand our client's order book.
2. Develop and implement effective tendering strategies to increase the chances of winning new projects.
3. Work closely with the Pre-Construction team to ensure seamless project delivery.
4. Collaborate with other departments to identify new business opportunities and develop proposals.
5. Provide expert advice on procurement and supply chain management to the project team.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

1. 5+ years of experience working in Pre-Construction as a Planner, Estimator or Design Manager, or from a Project Management or Commercial background.
2. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working.
3. Good knowledge of construction management processes and techniques.

Desirable Experience:

Previous experience working in a Main Contractor environment, with exposure to Pre-Construction stages.

Qualifications & Skills:

Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Architecture or comparable qualification.
