About the Role

Kennedys is seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate or Associate to join our Healthcare Division in Newcastle. As a key member of our team, you will work on NHS Resolution clinical negligence claims, providing expert advice and representation to our clients.

Team and Clients

Our Healthcare Division advises NHS Resolution, NHS Trusts, and medical malpractice insurers on EL/PL and clinical negligence claims. We have a strong presence across our London, Cambridge, Sheffield, Birmingham, and global offices.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Associate or Associate, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert advice on clinical negligence claims
  • Representing clients at inquests and judicial reviews
  • Working closely with our team to develop and implement effective strategies for our clients
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in clinical negligence law and practice
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1-4 years' experience as a UK Qualified Solicitor or CILEX qualified
  • Previous experience in claims and inquest work
  • Strong client contact and business development skills
  • Knowledge of insurance and coverage issues
