The Vision for Education agency in Manchester is seeking a dedicated Children's Mental Health Assistant to provide support and care to young individuals with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

This role will be based within the classroom environment, supporting students with small class sizes tailored to meet their unique requirements. The ideal candidate will have a caring personality and experience working with children or vulnerable adults.

  • Salary: £16,992 - £19,819 per annum (£416 - £475 per week)
Job Description

We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate empathy and understanding when working with children and young people. Your ability to establish positive relationships and communicate effectively will be vital in this role.

You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop strategies that cater to each child's specific needs. This may involve participating in lessons, providing one-to-one support, and contributing to team meetings.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs
  • Collaborating with teachers and support staff to develop effective strategies
  • Communicating with children and parents/guardians regarding progress and concerns
