Head of Strategic People Partnering

Altum Consulting is seeking a seasoned HR professional to join our client, a leading UK property developer and manager, as Head of Strategic People Partnering. This is a permanent, full-time role that offers a competitive salary of c.£100,000 + benefits and a hybrid working arrangement with some UK travel required.

About the Role

The successful candidate will serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, driving HR initiatives that align with business objectives and enhance organisational performance. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing strategic workforce plans that look 1, 2, and 5 years out to ensure teams are resourced and developed to deliver quality solutions and services.
  • Building a high-performing People Partnering team who can develop all aspects of colleague and performance development agendas within designated business units.
  • Collaborating with the Head of Talent and Org Effectiveness and Business Leaders to ensure clear development plans, retention strategies, and organisational culture alignment.
  • Providing coaching and guidance to leaders on HR best practices, conflict resolution, employee relations, and leadership best practice.
  • Promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with the company's values and mission.
  • Working with the Internal Comms and Engagement lead to develop and implement programs that enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and performance.
  • Overseeing performance management processes to ensure alignment with business objectives and employee development.
  • Utilising HR analytics to drive decision-making and assess the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
  • Ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations and managing HR-related risks.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 4 years in a strategic HR business partner role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment law.
  • Experience with HR analytics and performance metrics.
