About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at an independent school in Doncaster. As a SEND Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support for students with SEND and SEMH needs who may find it challenging to engage in education.

Your primary responsibility will be to build positive relationships with students, creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages them to regulate their behavior. You will work closely with the teaching staff to develop and implement individualized support plans, ensuring that each student receives the necessary support to achieve their full potential.

About the School

Our school is a specialist education and care provider, registered to take up to 50 children and young people aged 5-18 years with a range of needs, including social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, complex needs such as attachment disorders, trauma or anxiety, a high functioning autistic spectrum disorder (ASD), and ADHD.

What We Need from You

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about improving the outcomes of young people. You will need to be outgoing and confident in your ability to work with students who have behavioral difficulties and special needs. While a qualification in Team Teach and experience in dealing with young people who have SEMH needs, ASC, or ADHD are desirable, they are not essential.
