Doncaster, Doncaster, United Kingdom Protocol Education Full time
About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team as a SEND Learning Support Assistant. As a key member of our staff, you will provide support for students with SEND and SEMH needs who may find it difficult or be reluctant to engage in education.

Your primary responsibility will be to build rapport with students and create positive relationships, which will influence them to regulate their behaviour. You will work closely with our experienced team to develop and implement strategies to support students with complex needs.

This is a temporary position, with the possibility of becoming permanent in the future. If you have a passion for improving the outcomes of young people and are committed to providing high-quality support, we encourage you to apply.

About the School

Our school is an independent provider of specialist education and care services, registered to take up to 50 children and young people aged 5-18 years with a range of needs. These include social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, complex needs such as attachment disorders, trauma or anxiety, a high functioning autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) and ADHD.

We pride ourselves on providing a supportive and inclusive environment that allows our students to thrive. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality education and care services that meet the unique needs of each student.

What We Need from You

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about improving the outcomes of young people and has experience working with students with SEND and SEMH needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to students in the classroom and developing strategies to promote positive behaviour.

Desirable qualifications include a qualification in Team Teach and experience in dealing with young people who have SEMH needs, ASC or ADHD. However, we are open to applications from individuals who are passionate about providing high-quality support and are willing to learn and develop their skills.

What We Offer

As a member of our team, you will have access to a range of benefits, including:

  • A dedicated consultant who understands the importance of finding the right role for you
  • Access to over 50 CPD courses to help further your understanding and progress in your career
  • Flexibility to work full or part-time, with the option to work daily, long-term, or permanently
  • A refer-a-friend scheme, with a £50 reward for any candidate who refers an individual who begins working for Protocol Education

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQs on the Protocol Education website for further details.
