Directorate Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced leader to join the NHS as a Directorate Manager covering Elderly Care.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, motivating, and managing their directorate with a key focus on improving patient experience through safe, timely access to care and ensuring the operational management and delivery that meets the short and long-term strategic vision for the directorate.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe Directorate Manager will be responsible for:
- Leading and managing the directorate to achieve its strategic objectives
- Developing and implementing effective operational plans to improve patient experience and outcomes
- Managing and developing a team of staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver high-quality care
- Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of care services
- Monitoring and evaluating the performance of the directorate and identifying areas for improvement
The successful candidate will have:
- A Master's degree or equivalent experience at a senior management level within the NHS
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Experience of achievement at senior management level
- Evidence of significant experience in line management of staff
- Experience of successful project management
- Experience of managing performance and ensuring targets and performance indicators are met
- Standard keyboard skills and knowledge of all Microsoft packages
