We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our Acute and Emergency Care Division as a Directorate Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Directorate Management Team in all aspects of operational and strategic management to ensure the delivery of a safe, effective, and patient-centered service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the Associate Service Group Director/Divisional Manager in planning, communicating, and delivering complex business cases for new or extended clinical services.
  • Take a lead on Performance Management, Delivery of Service, and Financial Framework Targets, Communication, and Information Governance for the Division.
  • Support the Clinical Director and Divisional Manager in developing a culture that engages consultant medical and other staff in the development and delivery of services.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree or equivalent experience at a senior management level within the NHS. They will also have a Service Improvement qualification (Bronze) and evidence of continued professional development.

They will be able to demonstrate experience of achievement at senior management level, significant experience in line management of staff, and proven success in supporting complex organizational change while maintaining high-quality standards of care.

They will also have experience of successful project management, managing performance, and ensuring targets and performance indicators are met.

They will be able to demonstrate standard keyboard skills and knowledge of all Microsoft packages, as well as resilience, adaptability, and a flexible approach.
