The Role

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead our Machining facility across three business units. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing Department Business plans and objectives to achieve high-quality performance, output, and engagement.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Lead and manage the Machining facility team to deliver high-quality output in their own area of responsibility and across UK Manufacturing.
  2. Identify, plan, and implement future efficiency, cost, and quality improvement opportunities with a focus on digital and technological advances.
  3. Develop a culture within the teams to own and improve health and safety within the machine shop.
  4. Utilize existing manufacturing execution systems to drive efficiency and quality improvements using data-driven techniques.
  5. Lead continuous improvement activities using 5S and lean manufacturing principles.

Requirements

  • A recognized apprenticeship or equivalent qualification with experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience utilizing manufacturing software to drive efficiency and quality.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills.
