Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join our friendly Waste Management Team at Herefordshire Council. The successful candidate will play a key role in encouraging behavioural change among residents and businesses across the county, monitoring services and contractors, and engaging with the public to deliver excellent services that contribute to our ambitious waste reduction and recycling targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor services and contractors to ensure effective waste management and recycling practices
  • Engage with the public to promote behavioural change and encourage participation in waste reduction and recycling initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with the team to deliver excellent services that meet the needs of residents and businesses
  • Travel independently around the county to conduct site visits and engage with stakeholders
  • Work flexibly, including weekends, to meet the needs of the service
