We are seeking an experienced GIS Technician to join Contract Scotland on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in spatial analysis, cartography, and data management.

Job Description:

The GIS Technician will be responsible for conducting spatial analysis and providing accurate and relevant geospatial information for project planning and decision-making. They will create detailed maps, reports, and visualizations to support project requirements and collaborate with project managers and engineers to integrate GIS data into project workflows.

The GIS Technician will also perform data quality assurance and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability of spatial data. Additionally, they will assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of GIS databases and systems.

Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Geospatial Sciences, or a related field.
  2. Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ESRI ArcGIS).
  3. 5 years of experience in the field.
  4. Previous experience in an engineering or related field is an advantage but not necessary.

The salary for this position is estimated at £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
