We're working with an innovative engineering consultancy in East Lothian, to find an experienced GIS Technician to support their team. The role involves conducting spatial analysis and providing accurate and relevant geospatial information for project planning and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assume a mentoring role within the team.
  2. Conduct spatial analysis and provide accurate and relevant geospatial information for project planning and decision-making.
  3. Create detailed maps, reports, and visualizations to support project requirements.
  4. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to integrate GIS data into project workflows.
  5. Perform data quality assurance and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability of spatial data.
  6. Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of GIS databases and systems.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Geospatial Sciences, or a related field.
  2. Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and other relevant tools.
  3. 5 years' experience in the field.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  5. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  6. Previous experience in an engineering or related field is an advantage but not necessary.
