Transport Controller

**Currently looking for full time Transport Controller.**

As a Transport Controller you will be a key part of the Transport Department, reporting directly to the Transport Manager.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

- To ensure the efficient operation of the weighbridge and administration system whilst keeping accurate records.
- Develop and expand waste management services to customers.
- Assist other managers as and when required.
- Attend training and follow all senior management instruction, information given.
- To provide full administration support including verifying correct details, accurate data input.
- To answer telephone enquiries, record and pass messages as required.
- Other duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- Looking for a career in the Recycling industry
- Good communication skills
- Able to work well as a part of team as well as independently
- Punctual, flexible and reliable
- Ability to deal with more than one task at a time and thrive under pressure
- Flexible with unsociable hours on occasions
- Competent with use of information technology

**Desirable but not essential**:

- Waste and recycling experience
- Knowledge of the Lothians and Edinburgh area
- Knowledge of waste legislation and environmental management
- Full driving licence with less than 6 points - use of company vehicles
