We are a global logistics services provider, specialising in efficient supply chain management. Our core services include sea, air, road, and rail freight management, warehousing logistics, customs brokerage, and e-commerce logistics.

This role is for an experienced Finance Manager to oversee financial operations, ensuring smooth and efficient financial processes. The position is fully remote, home-based, with all necessary office equipment provided by the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the company's financial operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll functions.
  • Evaluate and ensure accuracy in financial reporting and controls.
  • Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Develop budgets and forecasts, continuously monitoring variances and implementing corrective actions.
  • Lead audit preparations, liaising with external auditors as needed.
  • Reconcile bank transactions and monitor incoming and outgoing payments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with operational objectives.
  • Support strategic decision-making with financial insights and reports.
  • Manage the financial system in CargoWise One, ensuring effective use across the team.
  • Implement process improvements and best practices.
  • Monitor shared inboxes for financial queries and assist in responding as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager within the logistics/freight forwarding industry.
  • Essential: Proficiency with CargoWise One software.
  • Strong working knowledge of financial and accounting software such as Quickbooks, Xero, or Sage.
  • Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Ability to drive process improvements and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Benefits and Details:

  • Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum.
  • Remote working, home-based.
  • Working hours: Monday-Friday, 08:00-17:00.
  • 25 days holiday plus English bank holidays.
