An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a skilled and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with SEN in Key Stage 2 at a renowned Primary School in Sunderland.

About the Role

This is a unique chance to contribute to the pupil's educational journey, promoting their learning and development in a supportive and inclusive environment.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing individualized support, developing strategies to promote progress, and creating a safe and engaging learning space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor the pupil's progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted strategies.
  • Behavioural Support: Implement positive and proactive methods to manage challenging behaviour and create a supportive environment.
  • Communication: Establish strong relationships with class teachers, parents, and stakeholders for effective communication and collaboration.
  • Resource Creation: Develop resources to support learning activities and lessons.
  • Supervision: Supervise pupils during break times and lunchtimes as required.
Requirements

Certifications: Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service) and a recognized Childcare-based qualification are essential.

Skill Set: Proactive and resilient nature, experience of supporting pupils in a school setting, and high levels of enthusiasm and energy when working with pupils.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000-£30,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience.
