Job Description: Registered Nurse - Neonatal Unit

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Registered Nurse to join our team at the Neonatal Unit. The successful candidate will have experience in acute nursing environments and a passion for providing exceptional patient care.

Key Requirements:

  1. A minimum of 6 months paid experience in an acute nursing environment within a hospital in the last 3 years
  2. Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices
  3. Neonatal Intensive Care course completion
  4. Accurate records must be kept in accordance with CHS policy and NMC guidelines

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop skills and knowledge in caring for special care babies, with further support and training progressing to care of high dependency/intensive care babies
  2. Manage and organise care for a group of babies and their families/carers, prioritising care according to need
  3. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for babies and their families, ensuring excellence in practice
  4. Communicate effectively with babies and their families/carers to ensure information needs are met
