Job Title: Experienced Advanced Practice Nurse

The University Medical Group seeks a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team as an Experienced Advanced Practice Nurse. As a valued member of our primary care team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by the partners, including cytology, wound care, and venepuncture.
  • Follow agreed clinical protocols with referral to GPs as appropriate.
  • Maintain a tidy and clean environment in the treatment room in line with infection control requirements.
  • Stocking of the treatment rooms and rotation of stock as required.
  • Ordering of health promotion literature as required.
  • Ordering of vaccinations to maintain stock levels.
  • Participation in administrative systems in the Practice.
  • Maintenance of accurate and timely clinical records in line with practice protocols.
  • Attend and participate in practice meetings when required.
  • Attendance at CCG and practice led clinical education meetings and training as required.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Proven experience in a general practice setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
