As a leading charity in Liverpool, The Brain Charity operates locally in the Liverpool City Region but has a significant national impact through online outreach and support services.

Job Role

We are seeking a Chair to provide inclusive leadership to the Board of Trustees, holding the Board accountable for the charity's mission and vision.

The Chair will support and challenge the Chief Executive as appropriate, leading the Board to operate as a cohesive unit in close collaboration with the Chief Executive and the Executive Team to achieve agreed objectives.

The successful candidate will serve as an ambassador and public face of the Charity alongside the Chief Executive.

Key Responsibilities
  • To lead the Board of Trustees, providing strategic direction and guidance.
  • To hold the Chief Executive and Executive Team accountable for delivering the charity's mission and vision.
  • To serve as an ambassador and public face of the Charity.
Requirements

We are looking for an experienced leader who can demonstrate a strong track record of strategic leadership, governance, and community engagement.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a similar role, preferably within the charity sector, and be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the charity's values and mission.

A salary of £60,000 - £70,000 per annum is available, depending on experience.
