Job Overview:

NHS Ayrshire and Arran is one of 14 territorial NHS Boards within NHS Scotland. We are seeking a Senior Staff Nurse to join our team at University Hospital Crosshouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide high-quality clinical care to patients in the Children's Unit.
  2. Line manage a team of staff, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
  3. Develop and implement nursing strategies to improve patient outcomes.
  4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
  5. Contribute to the development of nursing policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  1. Registered Children's Nurse on the relevant part of the NMC register.
  2. Evidence of ongoing professional development through maintenance of an NMC revalidation or equivalent.
  3. Paediatric Intermediate Life Support.
  4. Advanced Paediatric Life Support (desirable).
  5. Post graduate modules undertaken in specialist area or evidence of continuing professional development.
