Job Title: Adult Mental Health Practitioner

This role is part of the Adult ADHD/ASD Service, providing assessment and formulation for adults presenting with ADHD/ASD and delivering evidence-based interventions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct high-quality assessments of adults referred to the service.
  • Provide or facilitate access to a range of quality psychotherapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs.
  • Deliver therapeutic input to adults and provide carers with relevant information.
  • Collaborate with other members of the multidisciplinary team as required.
  • Manage a defined caseload and undertake case management responsibilities.
  • Identify and develop strategies to manage risk to the adult and others in line with Pennine Care policies.
  • Liaise closely with various agencies regarding individual care packages.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of clinical work and engage in clinical review through peer review meetings and supervision.
Managerial and Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Attend team, clinical, business, and other meetings as required.
  • Effectively manage own workload and time.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Contribute to data entry for local information management systems.
  • Participate in peer supervision within the Adult ADHD/ASD Service.
  • Contribute to the development of education and training programs.
Professional Development:

Maintain a current professional portfolio and participate in programs of personal development and training.

This role requires a strong understanding of mental health issues in adults, relevant legislation, and national policies. The successful candidate will have experience in community mental health services, case management of adults, and multi-agency working.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team and manage a caseload effectively.
