Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Technology Officer to join our senior IT leadership team at esure Group. As a key member of our Claims leadership team, you will be responsible for developing our technology roadmap, software engineering, and integration, operational run, and continuous optimization of our technology stack.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise and leadership while driving a culture of high performance and quality in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Lead the technical roadmap for our Claims business area, ensuring it aligns with our company-wide strategy.
  • Promote and lead the digitization of customer Claims journeys through the identification, evaluation, selection, and implementation of new technology.
  • Drive the design, build, governance, and continuous optimization of Claims platforms, products, and technology stack.
  • Implement engineering practices, security controls, and quality assurance of our Claims platform and applications.

Requirements:

  • A passion for people and a deep love of technology, with experience in a senior technical leadership role.
  • Ability to manage high-performing teams, driving an award-winning culture and fostering learning and development for colleagues.
  • Expert-level experience in architecture principles, design, build, and operations of complex technology ecosystems.
  • Extensive experience with agile SDLC practices within Scrum and Kanban environments, including SCM, build tools, test automation, and CI/CD.
  • Experience of delivering and running high-volume transactional data and event processing solutions on AWS.
  • Knowledge of DevOps and SRE and the use of technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Beanstalk, and Terraform.
