Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Planning Engineer to join our team at Taylor Hopkinson | Powered by Brunel, based in England.

As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining specific aspects of the overall project programme, ensuring alignment with the project work breakdown structure, and providing regular progress reports.

  • You will work closely with the Lead Planner to develop and maintain the project programme, including identifying key activities and areas where project management should focus their attention.
  • Collating and summarising Contractor programme information into the overall project programme is also a crucial aspect of this role.
  • You will need to think strategically and develop 'what-if' scenario planning to inform strategic project management decisions.

In addition to your technical skills and experience, we are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively communicate with a wide range of disciplines and stakeholders.

A strong educational background, preferably educated to degree level, is essential. Experience of planning large construction projects with multiple packages is highly desirable.

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, dependent on experience, and a range of benefits, including opportunities for professional development and career growth.

Requirements
  • Excellent standard of spoken and written English.
  • Sound educational background educated to degree level.
  • Experience of planning large construction projects with multiple packages.
  • Good knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Knowledge of Offshore wind is an advantage but not essential.
  • Open-minded and can-do attitude, able to work autonomously and proactively with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent time-management skills, able to effectively prioritise work in the most efficient manner.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of disciplines and stakeholders, both in the transmission of information and the receipt and understanding of it.
