Job Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust as a Procurement Assistant. The successful candidate will work closely with the Category Team to deliver key results and support procurement activities.
About the Role
The Apprentice Administrator will provide administrative support to the Category Team, ensuring the Trust obtains the best possible value in procurement and delivery of goods and services. Key responsibilities include researching products and services, arranging meetings and events, compiling and analysing electronic data, and resolving product or service queries.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Five GCSEs including 9-4 in Maths and English are essential for this role.
- Excellent analytical and judgement skills are required, with evidence of ability to undertake analytical work and make informed decisions.
- Strong communication and relationship skills are necessary, with good verbal and written skills, flexibility, self-motivation, initiative, attention to detail, and understanding of confidentiality and data protection.
- A high level of organisational and planning skills is also required, with the ability to prioritise workload and manage time effectively.
- An understanding of equality and diversity is essential for this role.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is approximately £22,000 per annum, which is competitive for the location.
