We are seeking a highly skilled Project Sustainability Advisor to join our sustainability team, who will provide expert support to our Civil Engineering projects in the north of England. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring environmental compliance and sustainability in the construction of our projects, while helping to deliver against our 2030 Sustainability Roadmap.
In this role, you will work closely with our project teams to improve our sustainability and environmental performance, replicate best practice, and assist with the application for, completion, and implementation of environmental consents to ensure legal and client requirements are met.
As a Project Sustainability Advisor, you will be responsible for providing sustainability and environmental advice to project teams, conducting site inspections, maintaining environmental compliance, and assisting with external audits and the application for, completion, and implementation of environmental consents and permits.
You will also identify and communicate environmental and sustainability risks and opportunities on our projects, assist in the development and preparation of sustainability management reports for internal and client reporting, and participate in working groups and initiatives to help deliver against our 2030 Sustainability Roadmap.
The ideal candidate will have up to 3 years of environmental experience, ideally with some understanding of a construction environment or similar, and a relevant degree and/or professional qualification. Strong organisational, communication, influencing, and engagement skills, with the ability to problem-solve, are essential. Flexibility to travel in the north of the UK is also required.
