Job DetailsEnvironmental Advisor - North of England

We are seeking an Environmental Advisor to join our sustainability team who will have responsibility for providing detailed support to our Civil Engineering projects in the north of England. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental compliance and sustainability in the construction industry.

In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring environmental compliance and sustainability in the construction of our projects. You will work closely with our project teams to identify and communicate environmental and sustainability risks and opportunities on our projects. You will also assist in the development and preparation of sustainability management reports for internal and client reporting.

The successful candidate will have up to 3 years environmental experience, ideally with some understanding of a construction environment or similar. They will also have a relevant degree and/or professional qualification, strong organisational, communication, influencing and engagement skills, and the ability to problem solve. Flexibility to travel in the north of the UK is also required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide environmental and sustainability advice to project teams
  • Conduct site inspections and maintain environmental compliance
  • Identify and communicate environmental and sustainability risks and opportunities on our projects
  • Assist in the development and preparation of sustainability management reports
  • Assist in the maintenance and review of the sustainability management system
