We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Physician/Geriatrician to join our team in Older People Services. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for managing a proportion of patients independently, participating in the discharge planning process, and contributing to the development of services in geriatric medicine.
Main DutiesThe successful candidate will be based at the Royal London Hospital, where they will work on a 52-bedded acute geriatrics ward. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing patients independently and participating in the discharge planning process
- Contributing to the development of services in geriatric medicine
- Participating in outpatient work, liaison work, and front-door frailty pathways

Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have:
- MRCP or equivalent specialist qualification
- Full GMC registration with license to practice
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of date of advisory appointments committee
- Relevant CCT in Geriatric Medicine and General Internal Medicine or equivalent
The following qualifications and experiences are desirable:
- Higher Research Degree
- Higher Teaching Degree
- Prior experience of developing, delivering services in geriatric medicine
