About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Ex-Offender Support Specialist to join our team at Red 5 People. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to ex-offenders in a unique community hub setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of clients through one-to-one sessions, helping them access housing and benefits, register with a healthcare provider, and find training courses.
  • Provide light-touch employment support and develop general life skills such as budgeting, cooking, and wellness.
  • Participate in activities and programs within the community hub, including an onsite gym, music studios, wellness rooms, arts and crafts areas, and weekly doughnut and debate clubs.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working within the criminal justice system, such as a prison officer, resettlement officer, or probation officer.
  • Alternatively, experience supporting people on a one-to-one basis in roles such as a project worker, support worker, hostel worker, employment advisor, careers advisor, job coach, or recruitment consultant.
