About the Role
Page Personnel is working with a reputable business based in Fareham who is looking for a Part Qualified Financial Accountant to join their accountancy team on a 9-month contract. The role is mostly a standalone position within a wider team, requiring attendance at the office three times a week.
Client Details
Our client has undergone significant growth and change over the past 9 months, necessitating additional support. Ideally, the successful candidate will have a driving license to access the office.
Key Responsibilities
The Part Qualified Financial Accountant will be responsible for:
- Preparing financial statements
- Being the primary point of contact for audit queries
- Supporting audit and board sign-off of financial statements
- Providing accounting reminders as deadlines approach
- Supporting business transactions
- Producing and submitting board packs (balance sheet, P&L, and analysis)
- Maintaining tax compliance and reporting
Requirements
To be considered for the Part Qualified Financial Accountant position, the candidate must:
- Hold Part Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA status
- Have experience or exposure to a financial management environment or similar
- Be proficient in financial accounting and the preparation of simple financial statements
- Have knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP principles
- Have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office software
- Understand controls in a financial reporting context
