Job Description

Freightliner is seeking a skilled and reliable Port Multi-Skilled Operative to join their team in Felixstowe. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for a variety of engineering and operational duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspecting arriving and departing wagons to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Repairing wagons as needed to maintain a high level of fleet availability.
  • Shunting and train preparation duties to ensure efficient operations.
Requirements:
  • Clean UK driving license.
  • Flexible outlook towards work duties and hours.
  • Reliable and self-motivated individual.
  • Enthusiastic team player with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize workload.

The role involves shift work, including Saturdays, but flexibility in hours and duties will be essential to its success. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in freight train operations, although full training will be provided to the right applicant.

Qualifications and Training:
  • PTS qualification.
  • Dangerous Goods awareness.
